1.1 Background of the Study

The rise of social media as a marketing platform has transformed how businesses interact with customers. AI-driven content generation tools are now central to maintaining an active and engaging online presence. These tools utilize natural language generation (NLG), sentiment analysis, and predictive analytics to create tailored social media posts, captions, and advertisements.

In Sokoto State, online startups increasingly rely on social media platforms for branding and customer engagement. However, creating consistent and engaging content is often a challenge due to resource constraints (Aliyu & Musa, 2025). AI-driven tools can bridge this gap by automating content creation processes, ensuring linguistic accuracy, and optimizing post timing for maximum reach. This study explores how AI tools are transforming social media strategies for startups in Sokoto State.

1.2 Statement of the Problem

Many online startups in Sokoto State struggle with maintaining a consistent and impactful social media presence due to limited resources. Despite the availability of AI tools for content generation, their adoption remains low. There is also a lack of understanding about their effectiveness in improving social media engagement and driving business growth.
